A traditional story of fulpati day ritual that starts from Gorakha - Jiwanpur Dhading - Kathmandu यसरी सुरु भएको थियो गोरखा दरवारबाट धादिङ को जिवनपुर हुदै काठमाडौँ को दशैँघरमा फुलपाती भित्र्याउने परम्परा

The roads are expanding and new constructions are underway, making travel to the Jiwanpur Hillside in Dhading more accessible. The accompanying video and photos capture the journey to the Jiwanpur Kali Temple. This destination is approximately 15 km from Sitapaila or 30 km from Thankot.

While Jiwanpur may not be the prime choice for extended stays, it offers an excellent opportunity for hiking and immersing oneself in the natural splendor of the hillsides. The area is known for its crisp air, panoramic mountain vistas, and elevated landscapes. A visit to Jiwanpur's hillsides can be a serene escape to refresh the mind. My visit in Mangsir (December) was greeted with the robust aroma of blooming mustard fields, adding to the area's charm. It's truly a delightful experience. Consider a trip to the Kali Temple in Jiwanpur, Dhading, for a tranquil retreat.

Kalika Mandir Jeewanpur

Perched atop the hillside near the Jiwanpur Dhunibeshi bus park, Kalika Mandir Jiwanpur is a serene sanctuary that opens its doors to devotees in the morning. The temple grounds are adorned with a cemented floor, a Shiva Linga, and a brass lion sculpture. Annually, on the 1st of Magh, the temple becomes the focal point for a vibrant local festival.

Access to the Kalika temple is possible via both four-wheelers and two-wheelers, with two roads leading to it—one from the east and another from the west. Visitors are treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains from the hillside, complemented by the refreshing chill of the breeze. However, the road to the temple is somewhat rugged, making it unsuitable for low-clearance and longer vehicles.

Near the temple, a drinking water tank has been constructed, currently serving the local community. Plans are underway to extend the water supply to all residents. The water is sourced through a borehole and undergoes filtration before distribution.

Sanitation facilities are currently limited to temporary solutions, with plans to improve them in the future. While Jeewanpur is well-connected with 3G and 4G mobile networks, cable internet is not available, necessitating reliance on mobile data for internet access. Both NT and Ncell have coverage throughout the area.

The locals, primarily engaged in agriculture, also pursue various side businesses for additional income. They employ modern agricultural equipment such as tractors and choppers. Jiwanpur is a mere 25 km from Sitapaila, Kathmandu, but the gravel road from Bhimdhunga presents a challenge, as does the 7 km stretch from Dharke to Jeewanpur, which is particularly rough for four-wheelers. Thank you.
